A message to kipple?
« on: October 16, 2008, 04:47:20 pm »
I hope ingels doesen`t take any offence on my query, but I would like to be active on the other BladeZone-Off Forums, I noticed kipple has some kind of connection with the site.
Rest assured I will remain active here, and in many ways, as this is the first Bladerunner site I have hit on, I feel a little sentimental...must be those electric sheep!
But when I attempt to register it states my email address has been banned? I have never entered or participated on the site in my entire life.
Furthermore I have had no previous connection with and anything Bladerunner up and till now on this marvellous site. Just for the record my email address is powerknight@btinternet.com.
Can anyone help? Regards, Recal-citrant.

Hi Recal !!

Im a registered user at the BladeZone forum but it was some eons ago I visited it. I think I used my @ingels.se email when I registered there (that or tyrell-corporation.pp.se) and I had no problems

I received this in the email on the 7'th of this month

Fellow Off-World mates,

Due to the increase of SPAMMERS using gmail, I have made the decision to ban that email service from being able to set up Off-World Forum accounts.  This may affect those present members who used this email to sign up with.  I suggest you change your email in your profile to prevent any possible issues signing on to your Off-World Forum account.  This will take place within twenty-four hours.

BladeZone has an email service you are more than welcome to use.  You can find that information on the BladeZone website.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely,

C.A. Chicoine (A.K.A. Kipple)

Weird. Perhaps they banned an entire domain or IP range....

Try with another account. Create a Hotmail or Gmail one and try.

Good Luck!

Well, they banned the @gmail.com domain so I'd choose another free email provider for this task (Not sure but usually the @hotmail.com domain is banned since it's used by spammers)

Hotmail has cleaned up it's act a lot recently. I get no spam from Hotmail accounts anymore, but still get tons from Yahoo and Gmail.
