The title for the upcoming Blade Runner sequel will be “Blade Runner 2049”. From the title we get a hint that the movie will be taking place 30 years after the original Blade Runner. “Blade Runner 2049” is set to be released on October 6, 2017 and in the cast you’ll find Jared Leto (Suicide Squad), Ana De Armas (War Dogs), Ryan Gosling (Drive), Robin Wright (Forrest Gump), Dave Bautista (Guardians Of The Galaxy), Lennie James (The Walking Dead) and Harrison Ford whom once again will be playing Rick Deckard. Denis Villeneuve (Sicarrio) will be directing and the Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson will create the soundtrack to the movie

Neither IMDB or Alcon Entertainment has been updated with the the new title “Blade Runner 2049” (however, the official Facebook page has been updated)

Alcon Entertainment is joining with virtual reality company Oculus to create content and distribute content around the October, 2017 release of Blade Runner 2049, through a new company division called Alcon Interactive. The VR experiences will be exclusively distributed on the Oculus platform

Want to take a stroll thru Deckard’s Apartment?

Quentin Lengelé from Belgium has made a 3D model of Deckards Apartment and he’s still adding furniture and other items to it. His goal is to be able and use it together with Oculus Rift. It’s still not completely done and could take a while (if you’re interested in all of what you could find in Deckard’s Apartment, then take a few minutes and visit the Deckard’s Apartment thread at Propsummit). He has done a small preview and it’s very impressive.
