About the website
My name is Nicklas Ingels and Im the webmaster behind this website. I was born in August 1973 and I live in Borlänge, Sweden. If you want to know more about me then you should visit my homepage which can be found @ ingels.se.
This website was created back in 1997 and there is a lot of hard work, money and late hours behind it all, but it’s all worth it. I hope that this website is a good resource for the people whom visit it and that they find what they came looking for. It started out as a pretty simple project and it has evolved into an growing “stand alone” website from what once was a small part of my homepage. After having worked and added information to the website alone, In October 2011 I got some help from Andrew Pokon (a Blade Runner fan and friend) whom will contribute to the website.
My fascination with Blade Runner goes back along time, I did not like it the first time I saw it (.. I fell asleep). I rented it again some time later and this time I managed to stay awake, I remember that the images I saw was shockingly stunning and I thought that it was very different from all other movies I’ve seen. Ridley Scott’s Futuristic vision of a overpopulated industrialized city is not the regular sci-fi vision of the future. It’s a trustworthy vision of what this world could become.
I have a hard time thinking that I ever will see a movie that is more beautiful and so stunningly well made as Blade Runner.
Blade Runner is with every little detail in every frame, Vangelis one-of-a-kind soundtrack together with the story (that hopefully makes you think) and the cast & crew my favorite movie and there is no other movie that comes close to what Blade Runner means to me.
Since this website is now over 10 years old (and still growing) I would like to thank everyone whom ever has visited the site and also those whom has contributed and helped making this site what it is, I suffer from “lousy memory implants” but some of the people I would like to show my gratitude to are
- Charles De Lauzirika, USA / The Final Cut experience & Information
- Trevor King, UK / On The Edge Of Blade Runner VHS Tape
- Harold Pehlich, Canada / Artwork & Friendship
- Alan Daniels, USA / Artwork & Information
- Dennis Lodewijks, Netherlands / Vangelis Information
- Jesper Isberg, Sweden
- Those of you whom clicked on the “Donate” button
- The ones whom you can find in the Fancreations / Their Contributions
- The A.F.BR Newsgroup
- .. and you whom are taking the time reading this
